    Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” initiative, launched by the Government of India in 2015, aims to strengthen national unity and cultural integration, promoting mutual understanding among different states and union territories. This program celebrates the diversity of India, encouraging people to explore various traditions, languages, and heritages, thus reinforcing the idea of “Unity in Diversity.”

    Main Aspects of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat:

    1. Cultural Exchange and Integration: Every year, states and union territories are paired to enhance understanding of each other’s cultures, languages, and traditions. For example, in 2023, Odisha was paired with Maharashtra, and Goa was paired with Jharkhand, providing students and communities with an opportunity to experience and appreciate India’s cultural diversity.
    2. Promoting National Unity: Through cultural programs and activities, this initiative fosters deeper connections between people from different backgrounds, thereby encouraging a sense of national unity.

    Major Programs Under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat:

    1. Group Dance: Students of KV BSF Raninagar showcase India’s traditional dance styles, representing various dance cultures.
    2. Group Songs: Students perform regional folk songs, providing an opportunity to understand and appreciate the musical heritage of different states and regions.

    KVS Art Festival:

    This is an important event organized to promote the role of arts in education in Central Schools. It provides students a platform to showcase their talents in various art forms. The festival includes the following art forms:

    1. Music – Classical: Students perform classical music, highlighting the richness of India’s classical music traditions.
    2. Music – Traditional Folk: The program features performances of regional folk songs, celebrating India’s folk music traditions.
    3. Music – Instrumental – Percussion: Students perform on percussion instruments, showcasing the rhythmic musical traditions of different regions of India.
    4. Music – Instrumental – Acoustic: The performance includes acoustic instruments such as sitar, violin, or flute, reflecting the cultural significance of these instruments in various regions.
    5. Dance – Classical: Classical dance forms such as Bharatanatyam and Kathak are performed, promoting India’s traditional dance art.
    6. Dance – Folk: Various regional folk dances are presented, celebrating India’s cultural and dance diversity.
    7. Visual Arts – Two-Dimensional: Students display paintings and drawings, highlighting different aspects of Indian culture and promoting creativity and cultural appreciation.
    8. Visual Arts – Three-Dimensional: Students exhibit sculptures and other three-dimensional art forms, showcasing the diversity of Indian art.
    9. Indigenous Toys and Games: Students showcase traditional Indian crafts and games, preserving indigenous sports and handicrafts.
    10. Drama – Solo Acting: In this category, students perform solo acts based on national unity or regional themes.

    Through these activities, the initiative encourages students to explore various aspects of India’s cultural diversity, helping them develop a sense of pride in the country’s heritage while also strengthening unity.
